Racial Discrimination In School System
#11
Puppyz, don't get all worked up over a couple of racist kids. It's not worth it. They have little to no credibility here. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum in many different ways on the forum, and each time, it deteriorates into personal attacks or stupid, inane personal comments. Everyone has an opinion and instead of doing something constructive about it, they feel obligated to reveal their deep seated inadequacies and fears.

As the NAACP (the most racist widely-accepted organization in existence today, second only to the Nation of Islam or the Black Panthers) has so eloquently illustrated, there is actually support for the school's ruling. That in itself is enough to show where American (and perhaps western) society is headed.

wow, you have issues. This article does not say that ''blacks'' are not acknowledging ''whites''. Simply put, affirmative action in the school system is showings its negative side. The school needs to fill their quota so to speak. "The Louisville school district adopted its plan in 2001, and it requires schools to seek a black student enrollment of at least 15 percent and no more than 50 percent." They refused the child because they had no more space for another white student. It does not state anywhere she was refused by ''blacks'' or ''whites''. In this case, it's because of affirmative action this girl was denied admission. A good example of how affirmative action is also a form of discrimination.
Thanks, I thought it was good.

In fact, I think what's happening today under the name of Mr. King and his movement is contradictory to what he taught.
The NAACP and BPP are frighteningly racist in their policies, and they are "widely accepted" (that is most Americans perceive them in a positive manner, and support them). I would suggest doing some independent reading on both of them, especially the new Black Panther Party. Just a suggestion.
Don't even go there. You wanna talk bout where this country is headed? How about what really matters. What the supreme court decides! Their decision in this matter will decide where this country is headed.
Oh thanks for telling me what the NAACP is. The most racist widely-accepted organization huh? Do you mean the organization who was created to oppose racism? The same organization who faught the ''seperate but equal'' and the '' jim crow laws" . You have no idea what you are talking about.

Expression of opinion is activism. Activism is constructive.

Give it a few years and we'll need a white Martin Luther King figure to start riots and what not like the black one did. After that, the black folk will finally acknowledge us. Then if we don't get a job, heckle a comedian, or just don't get our way, we can say it's because we're white...
Boy, when ignorance is BLISS!!!

I think people are missing the bigger issue here. The school denied a student admission based on the fact that a quota was filled despite the fact that there was student spots available. Imagine if an airline had to fill a certain number of seats and they were told that only 40 of 100 seats can go to whites and 60 seats go to blacks. 40 whites showed up (because they work and can afford the tickets ) and 15 blacks showed up for the flight. No additional blacks showed up for the flight, but 25 additional whites showed up but were denied boarding because the quota for whites was met.
Under affirmative action rules the flight should depart with 45 empty seats, and 25 pee'd off whites who just needed an education.
