I personally don't agree with everything in the State of Mind film, but it got my attention when I saw the former head of the US Department of Education talking about why public schools have declined.
If you want to know why we have to hear so much about Zimmerman, Gun Control and the War of Terrorism than this movie may be for you.
Global GDP is not evenly spread across everyone in the world.
40% of the wealth in the United States is held by 1% of the US population — Wealth Distribution in the USA - SHOCKING! - YouTube (sources are at 6:20).
This is also another great illustration. Go here and enter your annual income — Global Rich List

A counterblast to the prevailing pessimism of our age, and proves, however much we like to think to the contrary, that things are getting better.
Over 10,000 years ago there were fewer than 10 million people on the planet. Today there are more than 6 billion, 99 per cent of whom are better fed, better sheltered, better entertained and better protected against disease than their Stone Age ancestors. The availability of almost everything a person could want or need has been going erratically upwards for 10,000 years and has rapidly accelerated over the last 200 years: calories; vitamins; clean water; machines; privacy; the means to travel faster than we can run, and the ability to communicate over longer distances than we can shout.
Yet, bizarrely, however much things improve from the way they were before, people still cling to the belief that the future will be nothing but disastrous. In this original, optimistic book, Matt Ridley puts forward his surprisingly simple answer to how humans progress, arguing that we progress when we trade and we only really trade productively when we trust each other. The Rational Optimist will do for economics what Genome did for genomics and will show that the answer to our problems, imagined or real, is to keep on doing what we've been doing for 10,000 years -- to keep on changing.

History shows that the same questions in general are repeatedly asked over time by people around the world.
The problem recently has been; people are conditioned to think that once they see something on YouTube, the Internet, or CNN, it has to be a first and has never been thought of or brought to light before.
Wealth (of a high degree) is never going to be spread evenly nor has it ever been. There is no panacea for it to fall in your lap from any government or organization.
The same fears, predictions, theories, etc have been repeated generation after generation for a long long time. History also proves this.
Most former politicians, department heads, heads of state, etc, always like to spout off about events and circumstances when they are out of office as if they have some great insight or knowledge. Too bad most never demonstrated this major insight or intellect while in their former positions.

No, I prefer the idea of pure capitalism, which why is why I support Americans For Fair Taxation — I think we should have more wealthy people come to the US with their money. So please don't put words in my mouth.
I do mean to share a video with those who are open to new ideas, which is why I started this thread:
Most of these ideas are outside of conventional thinking and it is normal for people to be negatively, but if you make it 40 minutes into this video you'll likely finish it and start asking more questions about the world we live in.

Hopefully you didn't vote for the socialist we are stuck with for another 3.5 years then... and make sure he isn't succeeded by the most brilliant woman socialist of our time.... Unfortunately, I think it is too late.

You can listen to words and be fooled, but the cash tells the tale with perfect truth.
The only creed any of them hold in honest high regard is grift.

Aside from the requirement to limit political comment here, mistaking any of these people for socialists is a fantasy easily dispelled by looking at their primary cash contributors.

Trade and free exchange of ideas and tech without coercion have done far more to advance the species than any other set of factors.

Let us examine one common lie, the facts will never be seen on TV but it is a subject spun in the most fantastic ways:

If you think you have any facts to counter this statement I would welcome them.
