Default Living in North Carolina

Anyone familiar with North Carolina, would you please recommend any areas for living. Commuting to work is not a consideration.

I am considering the following:
Cary
Rex
WakeMed
Duke

Thank you.

I live in Sherrills Ford, a nice little quiet town in the Lake Norman area.

Well since this thread was brought up and I'm interested in living close to CLT... Anyone have any recommendations?

The wife has said numerous times she would be willing to move there should a job opportunity arise.

Not sure where any of the places mentioned above are. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather!

Thanks!

Could you be more specific? These aren't really neighborhoods unless you are asking which hospital you want to live in. WakeMed has two large hospitals and a couple smaller ones. The area surrounding Rex includes several neighborhoods. What do you mean by Duke? There are few neighborhoods around the main campus, and a few are quite ghetto...

Cary is ok. It's a huge city of expensive track homes.

What are you looking for? Do you have kids? Schools? Closer to outdoors, or more suburban?

Huntersville offers a high quality of living at an affordable price. About 15 minutes to uptown CLT and 20 minutes to employee parking in CLT. Great restaurants and shopping And of course Lake Norman is great
