Default Living in North Carolina

I live in Cary. Very nice area with everything you could want. Also very close to the airport. As far as CLT Hunterville and Mooresville as cool. Lots to do on and around lake Norman. Traffic really really sucks there though

Thank you.
I don't recommend any of those areas as I would be competing with you for jumpseats!

If commuting is NOT an issue, maybe you can state what issues ARE important. Proximity to a hospital?

I live in Southern Pines/Pinehurst - about 65mins to RDU, 80-85 mins to GSO and 2hrs to CLT. But that's commuting info!

MD11Fr8Dog.... If you are in Southern Pines, I hope you play golf. More importantly, I hope I can come down and play :-)

The wife has said numerous times she would be willing to move there should a job opportunity arise.

Not sure where any of the places mentioned above are. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather!

Thanks!
If you want to be close to CLT, then I would explore your options just south of the border in SC... lower taxes than CLT and NC in general but the NC legislature is currently working on a plan to reduce NC state taxes while the SC legislature had considered no SC state income tax at all.

I played Forest Creek and CCNC (twice) last week, played CCNC once this week and have a 750a tee time at Pine Needles tomorrow morning.

Cary is a nice area. Everyone around here seems to like it a lot. There's a lot in the area to do as well but the cool stuff takes a little time to find. It's all hidden in the very large Carolina pines.

Before anywhere in NC, please check the income tax rate. Believe it or not some of the highest in the US. Property taxes in Mecklenberg County (CLT) are going through the roof. Although some good schools in Meck. County, the school board has has been dysfunctional for decades. As advised, go south. Wish I had done more homework about NC prior to moving there.
