Default I may consider new cell contract/phone

We are a trac fone household (cheap pilot), but would like to join 21st century with an Iphone.

Any recommendations? I realize ATT, Verizon, and Sprint give a decent United employee discount. What is your monthly bill with 2 year contract, and did you get a good price on new Iphone 5?

I like the Sprint plan with unlimited data, although what is equally important is ability to tether to laptop at home, and for travel domestically. I use Skype when overseas, so not too concerned about using phone for my trips.

Lastly, as a reserve I will need to work with Crew Companion. Will Unimatic be possible on a Iphone?

Thanks

Why aren't you looking at t-mobile? It's cheaper.

I have sprint now but will be switching to t-mobile now that they offer the iPhone. My current Sprint bill is $118 before taxes and $134 after taxes. That is with a 23% discount off the base price of the service from my employer discount. I have the Sprint unlimited text and data with 1500 minutes for two iPhones. Free mobile to mobile so I hardly ever use any minutes.

If I switch to t-mobile it will cost me $120 before taxes for the unlimited data and text with the data that slows down after 500mb. On top of that I will get a 15% employer discount. On top of that after two years my bill will go down to $80 a month because the phones will be paid for in full.

If you are really cheap buy used iPhones and go to t-mobile. $80 a month.

Albert Brooks ‏@AlbertBrooks 6 Jun

I've been telling anyone who listens, TMobile spies for half the cost.

Let me get with my IT nerd brother for a link. He's done this for years with his executives used and discarded iPhones.
