The FARs clearly state there is ZERO requirement to file a flight plan, weather and route permitting.

There is no reason you shouldn't take a leisurely flight across the country without filing if you just want to "go cruise the skies" and HAVE to file.

I often talk about the beauty of flying in the United States....

I boast to my friends from other countries, that here in the US, we could take a bucket of water from the Atlantic ocean & fly across the country and dump it in the Pacific ocean & take some shells from the Pacific ocean & bring it back to the Atlantic, do all of that without filing any flight plan, without even saying a single word on the radio & we don't even need a transponder, if we can plan it right..... It may take a very long route but it is definitely do-able.....

Some even ask me " Do you guys have the permission to do that...??""

And I tell them, "We don't need anyone's persmission to live free.."

They look at me in disbelief...

After some of the recent events & this incident, I look at myself in dis-belief......

What a shame ..... And what a sheer abuse of our tax dollars.......

This is the 2nd incident, where a General Aviation Pilot, who has not done anything wrong as per FAR's, but was subject to a treatment like this.

I think the entire pilot community should take a serious note & protest seriously against such actions.....

Let's Start a Whitehouse petition to that effect...

Let's write a letter to every single Senator & Congressman.....

Let every certificated pilot make his voice heard.....

This nonsense needs to stop..... or be controlled at the very least...
