Default Amazing B-58 Story...
Main truck failure on take off followed by all night flight, multiple in air refueling and an emergency landing the next morning.

Such a classic aircraft with great history.
14 hrs airborne , 8 refueling cycles, etc, etc. and emergency landing the next morning...and that great 1961 Air Force Officer pay rate to boot.

Good thing that General was in the tower with binoculars to help out. hmmmm...

Yeah but didn't you see how relieved he was after the landing. He was so nervous he had to wipe his brow. That shows caring and compassion for the troops..In case you didn't know.

Did you guys happen to notice the name printed on the pilots helmet when he was exiting the aircraft at the end of Jungles video?

Jimmy Stewart was a rated B-36 pilot; portrayed a B-47 pilot in a movie, and was given a ride in a B-58, if I remember corrrectly.

One of my favorite movies - Strategic Air Command. B-36's and B-47s. Pretty realistic depiction of a GCA approach.
