Why it was he himself; General Stewart and he was met by another General exiting the cockpit. Awww awww heck. If you can fly a B-36 you certainly can fly one of them thar new fangled B-58’s.

Those Generals sure got out of their offices a lot more back then, didn’t they?

Jimmy Stewart gave a good intro speech in the film titled; “X-15.” A classic film built around many actual NASA film clips and showing Edward’s in its glory days. The film also featured rookie actor and actress Charles Bronson and Mary Tyler Moore.

It was made to look like he was flying this one. But who knows.

Lt. Col. Henry John Deutschendorf Sr. set several records in the B-58. Many are better acquainted with his son - the late John Denver.

Worked with a friend of Dutch. Interesting back story about him getting into big trouble with the brass over a speed restriction period on the -58.

Hey Junior, show a little respect! Nothing "funny" was mentioned. This glorious super sonic bomber was flying a short 16 years after WWII. Remember that from High School, hmm? Also the era of the SR71. Those are the aircraft, and the MEN, who ensured our freedom and air superiority. They can have any song and still be cool, ok xjet.

Hey gramps, don't have a coronary.

The plane is cool, the video is cool. The song was lame, that's ALL I said. So take an aspirin and thin the blood out before something bad happens.

I was raised on 50's/60's music as that what my parents listened to. They coulda picked a whole slew of better songs from the era to match the cool factor of the plane.

Now go make your alimony payments to the ex-wives, ok Flint Stone.
