Someone asked me today "what day is Cinco de Mayo?"

Told him I didn't know.

About two years ago I was walking with a gal who remarked "Wow look, I never knew the Moon came out in the daytime" She was in her thirties and I swear she was dead serious...

Default You cut who; where????

I had the good fortune to overhear two ladies talking about how fast hospital stays are for child birth. These two were educators at a technical college.

"I can't believe X was only in the hospital for 2 days for her baby". The other piped in, "yes, it's amazing only two days, unless of course, there is a complication and they need to do a circumcision".

Cinco de Mayo...

A national holiday in remembrance of the mayonnaise ship that sunk en route to the Mexican shores?

Hold the mayo please!

I think that same ship was tunred away from the Jersey Shores and the officers used miracle whips on the crew.

Actually, I don't know what Cinco de Mayo is. I know the date (I can even count to 10 in Spanish), but I don't know what the celebration is.

People say "4th of July" too. I hate that. It's Independence Day, which we celebrate on the 4th of July. Yes, I know what we celebrate on the 4th of July.

I could google the 5th of May, but I don't care.

When I was in high school I had an English class in which we read Romeo and Juliet. A classmate of mine had the following exchange with the teacher:

(teacher) "....when Juliet dies at the end."

(Maria C) "Juliet dies in this book?"

(teacher) "Maria, didn't you read it? Shakespeare is rolling over in his grave."

(Maria C) "Shakespeare is dead!?"

Cinco de Mayo? Boring.

May the 4th be with you all.
