Two explosions at Boston Marathon finish line
Two huge explosions rocked the Boston Marathon finish line at Copley Square just before 3 p.m. today, apparently causing numerous casualties.
“I saw two explosions. The first one was beyond the finish line. I heard a loud bang and I saw smoke rising,” said Herald reporter Chris Cassidy, who was running in the marathon.“I kept running and I heard behind me a loud bang. It looked like it was in a trash can or something. That one was in front of Abe and Louie’s. There are people who have been hit with debris, people with bloody foreheads.”
“There are at least a dozen that seem to be injured in some way,” Cassidy said.
Chris McIntosh, publisher of the Boston Business Journal who was at the Lenox Hotel near the scene, said, “It’s chaos down here. Two bombs just went off at the finish line within five seconds of each other. There must be casualties. Now I’m seeing fire trucks and ambulances racing down Boylston Street toward the scene.”

Prayers for the victims, all those there and ALL Bostonians.
What a terrible afternoon and hope it's not the start of something bigger. Looks like all cities are on high alert and Pennsylvania Avenue is being cordoned off by Secret Service.

If this is indeed a terrorist attack, it saddens (and infuriates) me to realize my 3 kids have lived through 2 terrorist attacks in their relatively short lifetime. (We live in NYC and knew several schoolmate's families who lost parents and other relatives on 9/11.)
Worst yet is that this probably won't be their last time dealing with such an event. I know they hate when I worry about them when they're out on their own with friends in the City or other crowded venues -- but now they realize why.

Pathetic, gutless human beings who kill the innocent deserve one fate and one fate only. Response deleted for the sake of the moderators and the sensitive.

This was a ruthless act to kill the innocent. I haven't watched a single video or seen a single picture of the event other than a glimpse on the TVs in the DTW terminal walking to my gates.
For those who were responsible for this... If God has mercy on your souls, so bet it, because we, The United States of America, WILL NOT!!!
