One of the many problems we face is that we try to deal with these terrorists the same way that we would deal with a common criminal. If we do end up catching them, they're given rights, and a date in court, and if convicted jail time. Is that really "justice"? in any case, it ends costing the taxpayer a lot of money to get it done. We should really be dealing with this issue the same way the Israelis do. When was the last time you read about terrorists getting "arrested and tried" over there? More than likely the Mossad hunts them down in secrecy, if they find their target they'll put a double cap to the head, and dispose the body so that nobody ever knows, or hears from them again, then go bulldoze their families homes, etc. They don't mess around, and we shouldn't either. its time to stop trying to be "civilized" with people that choose not to play by those rules.

I can't lie, and knowing the rules and limitations on this forum I'll try to keep this PC...
I completely agree with Ajax. The "problem" with this thought process is our justice system that prevents us from doing this exact thing.
If I had things my way it'd be the age old saying "an eye for an eye." Or, for those of you who appreciate it (and know where it comes from) "If you come to Texas and kill someone we will kill you back." If you come to this country and kill, or attempt to kill, a mass number of people in cold blood you should be put to death.
Just unbelievable... If I offended anyone with this I apologize. Rage is flowing through my veins.
Edit.... Cubbies4life -- Vince Flynn is an awesome author. Love his novels!! If you like those check out Lee Child's Jack Reacher Novels.

Gentlemen...
I too am angry and tried of this kind of cowardly attack. However the very premise of our great country is that we are a fair and just society. As much as it pains me sometimes the reason that we have a justice system based on laws is so that we as a people don't become like the monsters that did this.
And yes once caught I'd too like to whip their skin off with a section of rubber hose before trowing them into a pit of rabid hyenas. Our laws specifically prevent the ugly side of human nature from overruling this kind of righteous barbarity. It why we are who we are.
God bless America!

FWIW, I also believe in an "eye for an eye" as it disgusts me the money and time we waste on cretins who do this (and other crimes).

Yes. No question of it.
Playing Devil's advocate here (<----don't forget that)....but you understand why this is, don't you? It's not to protect or show any leniency to terrorists or criminals, it's to protect the innocent against abuse of government authority in a legal procedure. This is the whole reason why the 5th Amendment exists. Miranda rights/pleading the 5th not to incriminate yourself? This is to protect the innocent, not the guilty.
And protecting the innocent...like guaranteeing freedom and the other Amendments...is what sets us apart from the monsters like the perps of the Boston bombing.
Just as all of us would like to see the full weight of justice and retribution upon the guilty in this case, we all don't want anyone who is innocent to be held guilty for it, either.
This is why "we try to deal with these terrorists the same way that we would deal with a common criminal."
Btw, what is the difference between a "common criminal" and an uncommon one?? I've never seen any formal distinction of them in US jurisprudence.
Would feral hogs work?
