Default Bose A20 Headsets with bluetooth?

Anyone have any complaints? Any practical applications for the Bluetooth other than listening to music or taking phone calls?

I've been using my David Clark H10-13.4s that I used as a CFI and it's time to upgrade to something that I'm going to use for a long while.

I've been using the Bose a20's for nearly six months. They are incredibly comfortable and the sound/audio quality is top notch, just as you would expect from Bose

The bluetooth on the a20's cannot stream music only phone calls. However, they do have an aux input so you can still listen to music.

I have to change batteries about every 60 flight hours.

I would recommend these to anyone!

+1....not cheap in any way but my CRJ is library quiet in the front office. Music jack is good for the longer legs and I use the bluetooth to call the hotel all the time when we pull into the gate on the overnight leg.

If you use Fore-flight and Bluetooth your Ipad to the A-20 it will give you approaching and on runway warnings, and any other verbal cues associated with Fore-flight.

I went ahead, bit the bullet, and got the Bluetooth model. I figured I'd rather pay the extra money and only use it occasionally rather than not and wish I had... if that makes sense. I plan on using these headsets for a very long, long time so I might as well go ahead and spend the money up front.

Thanks for the feedback!

I guarantee you will not regret. Plus when you're spending that kind of money what's an extra hundred bucks?

Also great for calling to pick up flight plans at uncontrolled firlds and the like. Do know that when you're talking on the phone through the headset's bluetooth link, anyone else on the interphone cannot hear it.

I didn't think of that. We routinely fly in and out of small non-towered airports out in the middle of nowhere. We never really have any trouble getting our clearances or flight plans filed though. Good to know that no one else on the interphone can hear the conversation though.

Thanks!
