What are some of your best finds?

I walked away from one of the local thrift stores yesterday with all of the following over my shoulder.

-Great looking ~1967 Sears TLS 35mm camera w/ original manual
-f/1.7 50mm
-f/2.8 135mm
-f/2 17-102mm TV zoom lens. Obviously not a related item but would be a nice piece of glass if I can find an adapter to work.

All in a nice canvas carry bag. $5

You obviously robbed some hippie's film gear collection. What are you going to do with it? I think some people prefer 35mm film gear, it may take a while to sell.

I might be able to make some cash on ebay, but I'd like to burn through a few rolls of film and see what turns out. Just might be a fun alternative to my Nikon.

My pop gave me a pretty expensive 35mm Leica in the mid 1980s, I used to shoot slides with it and project them on the dorm walls using a Kodak slide projector. He also gave me two lenses. That was a neat camera back then, but not worth a $100 Panasonic from Walmart now. I heard a researcher on NPR radio recently who claimed the native human visual data perception rate is around 22 Mb per second. I think this guy was probably right, and it puts things in perspective when you are using cameras that have trouble with 2 Mb per shot these days. My pop is still alive now, 81 years old and crazier than ever. He says digital is junk. I have to wonder what he knows being a 50 year film photographer originating in the 1960s.
