What gate is South Bend going out of?

Can you call ahead and have them hold the plane for me?

No, I just pay a hundred bucks an hour to hang out on the ramp.

Layover at PHL eating at a counter in the Reading Market when a random lunch dude hit the trifecta.

"How much does pilot school cost?"
"How long does it take?"
"How much money do you make?"

I had his attention when I told him I got paid to go to pilot school but I lost him when I said it took me 24 1/2 years to get where I am now. We never got to discuss pay as he got distracted by a shiney object (a pulled pork sandwich).

Me: " Since 5 o'clock this morning"

My FO: " Uhhh......I think she means 'How many years'.....?"

Every time I see my mailman, he asks me, "You're not flying today?"

Um...no...that's why I'm standing here in front of you. Just once I want to say, "Yes I am, I'm flying right now."

My favorite question at the airport is, "Where is the Sky Lounge?"

My answer, "I don't know, they don't let us drink while we're working."

Or, "Where is the Ladies Room?"

Um...I don't know, they don't let me go in there either, at least, not in uniform!

As a heavy driver in the USAF...

Them: "So, did you have to fly the small fighter-type airplanes first then graduate up to the big airplanes?"

Me: "Yes, that's it exactly!"

To a CFI : "So as an instructor do you actually know how to fly or is it all classroom?"
