Downton Abbey Season 3
Downton Abbey | Masterpiece | PBS
64 more days before Season 3 starts and Shirley McLaine goes to England.
I am so addicted that I watched Season 1 on tv, the rerun, and a third time on my Kindle Fire. Same with Season 2.
My favorite character is Matthew Crawley (and not because we are both lawyers!). I was happy for him when he was told he is heir to Downton Abbey. I cried romantic tears when he walked in to a concert given by Lady Mary. I was inconsolable when a bomb fell on him and he woke up in a hospital and realized his dick didn't work anymore. I was happy again to see him dancing with Lady Mary like nobody was watching them.

Unless you've been living in a cave, you will surely know that Season 3 begins tomorrow, January 6, on PBS. Wheeee!
Does anybody know if I can catch it in HKG? We will be over there eating loads of dimsum and Peking duck for Chinese New Year (Feb 10) and being able to watch Downton Abbey would be a great treat.

Vagabond,
You're the second of my friends to rave about this show. I guess I'll have to give it a go. Season 1 is on Netflix so I'll start there. On that note, we just finished watching another British TV show; 38 episodes of Doc Martin.
Give the old man my regards.

If you like Brit shows....Give the new Sherlock Holmes a spin...Its pretty good...Also, Luther is just awesome...I'm so glad they are making a third season of it and maybe a spin-off show for Alice...I have heard that they may also make a Luther movie...

First I thought it was the jetlag from 12 hours in a tightly packed and full UAL 747 from HKG, but I think my depression and sense of disorientation is from seeing Matthew Crawley pinned under his car and dead by the roadside. I can't believe the most beloved character is gone. However, I can see how he wouldn't want to be in a storyline that's getting lame. He produced a new male heir to Downton, so why not go out with a bang.
The best line in the finale had to be from Thomas. When Daisy said (about Mrs. Patmore) that "she's a woman, isn't she?" Thomas said "only technically."
