Long time lurker, first time poster. CMEL, CFI, CE500, and SIC on the E120. About 1200 total time, currently an FO at a part 135 outfit.
Built a little time indepent CFI'ing and surveying until I waxed airplanes into my first type rating and decided to go part 135 after that. Not 100% sure where I'm headed next, but all the roads seem pretty smooth from where I'm standing right now.
Here to learn the finer points of this business and maybe teach some of the people who are still working on their ratings some things as well!

I am a former AWA pilot with previous experience as a regional CA. Left the industry post 9/11 to go back to the farm. Raised my kids on the farm and have actively flown my baron and super decathlon while away from airline flying. Never though I'd return but the kids are in college now and I`ve had a successful career, but developers want the farm real bad and I haven't had a steady paycheck in 17 years, so it's time to put $ in the bank and put that ATP to work, or go find a bartending job in the carribean...tough choice! I dont want your seat at Delta kids, dont worry, the legacies are all just big regionals, been there done that. Still have 17 years to 65 so what the hell.

My name is Kimberly, and I'm not a pilot, but I visit these forums a lot to read up on the military to civilian transition, as my husband just wrapped up his time flying C-17s. I'm a software engineer at Boeing so I do enjoy aviation topics in general! Just saying hello.

I'm getting ready to retire from the military and have decided to fly as my next chapter. Right now I'm in SoCal working on my PPL. Then I will be going to a 141 school in August. With the dream of going to the majors one day. The reason I'm coming to this form is to learn about what's going on in the industry and also maybe find a mentor that I can talk to and that will help guide me on this exciting journey.
