Hi, my name is Kathryn Creedy and I am an aviation journalist. (You should know I do not quote anyone without first speaking with them so I treat this as off-the-record conversation.)

I have been covering the commercial and business aviation industries since the 1980s having founded Commuter/Regional Airline News in 1982 and then become a freelancer in 1990. I've worked for Embraer, Embraer Executive Jets and ATR in public relations.

I have covered the pilot shortage and ALL the various reasons for it since 2013.

I hope it is okay to become a member of this forum as I've used Airline Pilots Central information (charts on pilot pay) in my stories. You can find me on LinkedIn and see my stories if you need to assess me.

I post a great deal on social media about pilot careers.

Cheers -- Kathryn Creedy

Just discovered this site. Lots of fun, some things never change in the pilots lounge.

I have just over 500 hours in a King Air 350 and flying for the Army currently. Building time and planning on getting my restricted ATP at 750 hours.

Here to learn about the industry and how to make it to the airlines!

I’m a military pilot. I have 1100 hours in single engine fighter aircraft. Likely going to get out in a few years. I have zero civilian flight qualifications.

I would like to fly for a major airline when I get out. I’m just trying to figure this whole transition out... the more I read the more questions I have.

Just saw this thread so better late than never?

Former CFI and then went to PlaneSense as a PC12 FO for 1 year. Left for a home base, single owner part 91 flight department on a Hawker 800XP but it's listed for sale and actively looking for a Challenger 300 to replace it.

Default Hi all

New/Old to the Forum and pleased to be part of this community.

I began flying when I was 13-14 years old, private at 17 , earned all of my instructor certificates and then flew for cargo, regional and legacy airlines.

Currently looking at different part time opportunities.

Hi,
I'm a transitioning (career, not gender ) AF instructor pilot looking to potentially join the airlines. I've flown the C-17, MQ-1, and MQ-9. I enjoy both manned and unmanned flying.

Default Long time creeper, finally joined.

Hello all. I've been flying some here and there since I was 17 (20 ish years ago); currently have about 400 hours. Finishing up my private multi this month, then on to the commercial rating. Currently trying to decide where to go to "fill the gap". CFI or 135 freight? Teach locally or move to Florida? Lots of choices ahead and looking to this forum to help guide me in the right direction.
