Hi all. I am currently active duty (USN) and flew F/A-18's. I will probably be getting out in about 2 years so finally joined APC to help with the transition to professional civilian flying.

I'm currently a first officer for a US Low Cost Carrier waiting in a pool for a Legacy U.S. Airline. I've spent many years in the regionals previously. 9000+hrs total time. I'm looking forward to hearing about and providing constructive information that will further enhance airline careers.

intercept
- I am intercept. Got my tickets in 1966 and was a flight instructor in NY.
Later moved to Miami and flew charter there throuight the caribbean. Made over twenty trips to Cuba with passengers in late 79. Flew Axtec and Cessna 402 and Chieftain.
Got on with Rich International flying DC-6 and C47. Later Air Florida after passing my 727 flighjt engineer.
I got on with Air Florida in a 737 as co-pilot as it is a two pilot plane.
I was to fly that Washington D.C. flight, but a captain named Larry took the flight And an ex-air force pilot named Don Pettit was co.
The plane ended up in the Potomac when Larry decicded to continue the take off roll with ice on the wings. Needless to say, they were killed instantly and 47 passengers.
NTSB said the probes in front were iced up as a result it gave an erroneous reading on the EPR gauges in the cockpit. Larry thougt they read the right number...2.23 and he did not add any more power. I would have gone balls to the wall as the end of the runway was coming up. I liked the 737. It was built with shorter landing in mind.
After Air Florida closed, I felw a Sabe liner out of Ft. Laudedale executive airport.
I have some stories about the small planes as soon as I learn that my messages are getting through.
I have 12,000 hours in singles, twins and one forth in planes like DC-6 and C-47. Close to two thousand in the 737.
