Please let us know a little about yourself - your experience, hours logged, what you fly, type ratings, position, goals in aviation, etc.
Hello. I've been a pilot for about 5 years now. I received my private license in September 2008, and realized that there were other pilots at the airport that were actually getting paid to fly vs paying to fly. Once realizing this, I decided I wanted to get paid to have fun aka fly. After looking into what it took to become a commercial pilot I began renting a Cherokee 140 and logging my cross country time needed for an instrument rating. I didn't have a certain flying job in mind just pursued the goal of getting paid to fly. Once close to the time needed I started the instrument rating and had it completed within 60 days. I give that credit to my instructor who knew how to get the job done, and the Frasca Mentor simulator. This was now December of 2010. I was close to the 250hr range now and needed to find another way to finance the commercial certificate. By August of 2011 I completed the commercial certificate. Just a few months later passed the CFI checkride on the first try after some intense studying in October 2011. Had an interview 20 minutes after passing the ride and was offered the CFI position a week later. A few months of instructing led to the completion of the CFII in March of 2012. After instructing and continuing to learn, I finished the Multi commercial in late 2012. Now as of 2013 I've left the position as a full time instructor and have been ferrying a number of aircraft all over North American. This led and this led to an offer to fly a twin turbine full time and still be home every night.
So as far as goals, I've achieved them. I've been getting paid to fly for about a year and a half now. What's next? Well, I wanna have fun getting paid. I would like to continue ferring airplanes around the world, continue the turbine job and gain more experience, and see what other flying jobs are out there. I can eventually see myself at an airline, but maybe just to try it out. The goal now is to have fun and hopefully still be paid to do it.

Obviously I'm a newbie-
I've been flying for nearly two years now and currently hold Commercial Inst. SEL, MEL and nearly completed 50hrs on floats for my Commercial SES and just shy of my CFI check-ride at the end of the month.
After 12 years of working in healthcare as a Paramedic and a Doc, I'm following my passion for flying and would love to live / work turboprops in the tropics. I've lived in the Caribbean for multiple years on two separate occasions and small island life works for me.
If anyone knows of any FO positions or wants to give a lower-time pilot a break with a job offer...beers are on me! As a side note, I also teach scuba diving and can run a hyperbaric chamber.
Cheers!
