Hi....well....where do I start.
Loved aircraft and aviation since I was a small boy, fond memories of sitting on my fathers shoulders in the late 1980's at RNAS Culdrose watching a Vulcan Bomber with full flaps, airbrakes, gear down and bomb bay doors open switch to full power, close everything up and go vertical right above us.
Joined CCF air cadets when at school - plenty of crawling through the mud and getting freezing cold wading through rivers in winter covered in camouflage paint and duck ******, however had some incredible experiences - 14 hours in a Scottish Aviation Bulldog, Grob Tutor and Vigilant. Trial unpowered glider flight, flight in the back of a Chinook, 14hr work experience flight on the flight deck of a Boeing 757 to Gran Canaria with Britannia from Luton Airport, a tour of an AWACS, a Sea King and a week spent in the AWOC at RAF Honington with one night spent out on an exercise ground adjacent to RAF Lakenheath with F-15 Eagles roaring off above us.
Quite a peppered history, but I left the cadets with an officer from RAF Halton chasing me to join up (three times he phoned...) but my then girlfriend couldn't bare to see me go...so I declined.
Dumbest thing I ever did.
Now I want to fly! Sadly it's mostly on the computer....but that's why I'm here, to see if in some small way, if at all possible, I can get near an aircraft again and experience the magic of flight.
(aww, how romantic....sorry guys and gals, just the way I are)

Hello. I have been at the airlines since 1991, but after some years after being promoted, I gradually lost my passion for flying. After some bankruptcies I decided not to apply to another one and changed to a different job (although I did some part time 737 captain job to stay current). But at the same time I started flying a GA aircraft of a friend of mine and... I recovered that huge passion I once had!! And I noticed that I could not live without it. I guess I needed to step out to be eager to come back in. Now I enjoy flying for him and I am striving to get back to professional aviation, but trying to avoid the airlines...
