Civility or the lack thereof.
Interesting take on what is truly lacking in todays culture.

F-YOU!
No, seriously the article is dead on. No turn signals because they're on the phone, or nary a "thank you" for holding a door open for someone.
sigh.
ps. I get tool points for using the word "nary".

Sigh...very sad, but true. IF people were smart enough to use the "magic words," they'd be amazed at how much better they'd be treated by others.
Probably my biggest pet peeve is those who don't say thank-you when you hold a door for them. It drives me NUTS. I usually say, "you're welcome," but believe it or not, that doesn't seem to phase them.

I dunno...
I find the whole "decay of manners," yarn a bit hard to believe. People tend to not spit on strangers, tend to bathe regularly, and tend to not come to blows with ease (22 year olds in bars notwithstanding).
I hear please, thank you, you're welcome, etc... EVERY SINGLE DAY. And not just because I say them. You just need to listen. The jackwagon changing lanes without signaling usually overshadows the random guy saying thank you after a purchase.
Penn & Teller BS: Manners. Give it a watch. They explain it much more hilariously and NSFW than I.
