The one that is flown by mainline pilots, at mainline pay.

Dash 8 100/300 is a blast. Yeah, don't get paid as well as we should and relationship with management is well missing to say the least, but the question was about equipment. Flying this plane over the last 5 years has made me a much better pilot. We don't rely on the FMS. It requires some actual pilot skill to fly. That's all going away with the newer airliners. You can have a lot of fun with it.

In most of the world narrow bodies are regional jets.

Don't get SJS! Although the CRJ700/900 is a nice airplane. The CRJ200 is a piece of trash though. Always breaks and way underpowered. I'd prefer the ERJ over the 200, but the 700/900 is about as good as it gets. No experience though on the EMB170...anyone here flown one and a 7/900 that can compare?

The 145 has nice dispatch reliability, esp. since a large amount are aging. The CRJ700 at Eagle are always down for MX.

I'll echo that for the OP. The CRJ-900 is a very nice airplane to fly. Comfy, fast, lots of power, and highly automated. My buddies on the E-175 though enjoy that much more than flying the 900 I'd imagine.

I enjoyed flying various turboprop aircraft as well.

People always have something to complain about in the regionals, but you should try to enjoy the equipment that you are on.

What is it you PDT guys? Always have to chime in on how "the dash makes you a real pilot". Here a little news for you, we have people at psa that used to work at PDT and they say the dash isnt hard to fly at all. Btw, we dont depend on the fms my friend. When its deferred and we have our charts in hand flying j-routes, ive never seen anyone struggle. In fact, thats the most basic kind of flying! Now, how much extensive experience do you have in an rj to make remarks like we "dont have real pilot skills"?

Im starting to think some of you guys have complex becuase your amazing prop time wont get you an interview at certain places ( atlas, Emirates) so you feel the need to re-affirm to everyone on these boards of your pilot ability.
