Hell, I didn't even know about the 14 days/month part. I thought I was going to fly 747s international and get $200,000/yr. Little did I know that's only possible once you're about 60yrs old after you sacrificed your years fighting it out for decades earning pitiful wages for "experience".

I didn't realize how fun and cool flying was, and that it's not connected in any way with being an airline pilot.
