Code of conduct for pax ?

We all know what it's supposed to be...doesn't mean we have to like it. I'm female, and I know I wouldn't appreciate someone wagging a finger at me---guess it's a man thing.
I also know there are some cranky FAs out there, but in my travels I've found that 99% of the time IF one acts with respect and cordiality (hope that's a word!), you will be treated the same way.

Unfortunately often the times you "target" one demographic with an advertising or presentation style, you alienate another one. Try to watch this commercial without getting pi$$ed off if you are a man.

and if you are a woman, I'm sure those burger king testosterone commercials would also annoy the heck out of you. Ms. CardioMD doesn't like some stuff that I don't find irritating and vice versa.
The Delta video for some reason reminds me of that "Starship Troopers" fake recruitment video. It is just irritating to me. From the comments in the YouTube post and talking with fellow fliers, we are in the minority, which is why Delta probably went with it.

Studies have shown that some of the most "irritating" advertisements are actually the most effective in selling the product, and commercials that people love may be a flop at increasing sales. Opinions vary on why this happens.

I watched a car commercial (Subaru I think) the other day on TV. It was all about some Dad talking to a young girl (child) sitting the driver's seat playing with the seal belt or some such. At the end - the kid has grown into that young woman who is obviously leaving the nest.
The entire commercial has 1% to do with the car (if you even consider seeing inside the car something), and 99% having to do with *feelings*.
Nothing about the performance, the gas mileage, the safety features, THE COST, etc...
Perfume commercials are even worse

Airlines do have a contract of carriage that has a lot of legalese on what passengers may do or not do, including hygiene, dress, following instructions, etc. Finding a CSA willing to enforce it is another matter.
