Gets Weekends Off

Checked into hotel at 6am after a all nighter. 30 min later, knock on door "Housekeeping. Answered door and was told they have to knock if there is no "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Told the lady I did not have a DND sign to hang on the door. Back to bed. 15 min later the phone rings. Housekeeping supervisor calls to apologize for the knock on the door and explains their policy again. Back to bed. 30 min later, knock on the door "Housekeeping". Answered the door. "Here is your DND sign" and hands me one.

I wonder how many of the posters saying you shouldn't have called in sick have ever worked for an airline that was perpetually understaffed to the point of never being able to drop a trip?
To be fair I only call in sick when I am sick but both my current and former airline would never allow me a day off if requested. Ever.

Tool of the Week: whoever it was last night on Guard over central Oregon, broadcasting a recording of 'Allahu Akbar' and the Islamic call to prayer for about three uninterrupted minutes.
