Tool of the day

You deserve to be furloughed for that! Silver spoon ERU or UND instant gratification Regional guy?? You need to flip burgers or drive a hotel van to feed your family for a bit. I guarantee you will never do that again or be so stupid to say and admit to something like that. But then again it is not your fault you act the way you do it is your parents.....

We're at cruise on a beautiful day. Copilot reaches up and flips on the windshield wiper for his side. It immediately floats up off the glass and then departs the aircraft. I asked him what the heck he was doing and he responded that he wanted to see if it worked this high. I told him to assume that the other one would function in the same fashion at our current speed and that he should get busy on the dropped object report.

of course he isn't joking. You can't fix cheap and classless. I'd bet the 1st round of beers that he doesn't load and unload his bags. I have seen a lot of FO's stiff the van driver and I have never once seen them toss their own bags. What a tool to come out and admit it.

Wow - I thought this was the tool of the day,
Until I read this:
BTW, that's mighty generous of you to drop them a tip if you requested a ride somewhere. But not for both legs, right?

I've only stiffed a driver on a tip once in my career and it was because he felt the need to lecture me about showing up 5 minutes early for pick up even though I was there before the captain. I politely thanked him for the tip

The van driver will often have multiple pickups. The frugality of these pilots will then teach the driver to pick up the other hotel guests first/play dumb when asked about where to go to eat/etc. Then you have the "I don't have change" excuse. Seriously? I once flew with a guy who tried to break a $100 from the cabbie in St. Croix at 10pm. Tool-like IMO.

Luv2Rotate has nominated quite a few people in this "tool" thread and now he finds himself unanimously being elected as tool of the year. Way to go "Bro"
