It was Tuesday night around 2030 and 2H was packed. It's the Hampton Inn Cascades.

Another van driver took me back to the airport as soon as we got to the hotel and it wasn't there. Since it was "after hours" only an MWAA cop could have helped me. I looked around for almost an hour pre-TSA checkpoint, but there was none to be found.
Should I have waited to be sure the bag was safely in the van, yes, BUT it was a lonnnng day working back from Europe and it started pouring rain as he was loading the bags.
Exactly the reason I waited until ALL my crew's bags were on the van.

Well, in fairness, the one pilot we were with was left to take a cab with another FA. Not that it should be on the pilots, of course, but as I said it started pouring and none of us wanted to get wet after our long day.

x2. Trust but verify. And make sure they don't put laptops where they might fall out when the door gets opened at the hotel.

You pilots are too damn perfect! As I said, I'm usually the most OCD in the bunch, but there are times when you're waaay too tired and don't want to get poured on and just trust a van driver can just do his damn job, ESPECIALLY at a hotel we stay at regularly.
