Boots dont concern me. Sunglasses worn inside the terminal. That's another story. Or the jump seater wearing sunglasses in the cabin on a night flight.

Considering I rarely ever land on paved runways (outside of my base), yea...I wear boots. I live in the frozen north where theres 6 feet of snow 8 months of the year, of the 4 months there is not snow, it's muddy soft and wet all the time.

If I was going from comfy terminal to terminal all the time, I'd probably wear some moderate dress shoes though...

My guess... trip-related clothing disaster. You see it every so often. It's possible her shoes were stolen in a hotel, and all she had left were her bathroom flops.

It can happen with men as well. $200 dress shoes are a high-ticket (theft) item in many parts of the world, reducing you to tennis shoes.

Maybe BUT most FAs have 2 pairs of shoes...heels and inflight flats. My bet is she ran for a one of those quick 10 minute pedicures. (btw the rest of her didn't look up to DLs uniform standards either).

Consider me TOTD! I do it because the FAs sometimes like to make the cabin into a European dance club when they can't figure out the cabin lights. Plus people are less likely to talk to me when I'm trying to sleep wearing sunglasses.

Or you could just use a set of eye shades like most people.

Every once in a while (not often), a "tool" gets nominated in this thread, and my only thought is: "that's ****in awesome!".

Ray Ban "aviators"... the ultimate pilot cliche. Right up there with a big watch.

The sad part is that they are great sunglasses, but they are just a bit too "pilotey" for me
