Been there done that. It helps to place the radio right up against the offender's wall. The two times I've done it I also placed a pillow over the radio to limit collateral damage to other neighbors. I set the alarm to go off just as I'm leaving the room so I can enjoy hearing firsthand that my petty yet quite satisfying juvenile response is in fact effective.

Haven't you seen the xxx movies?
You are supposed to show up at their door wearing just your boxers, knock, and say, "Did you ladies order a pepperoni pizza? Well, here's the pizza, and HERE'S the PEPPERONI!"
I had a screamer next door one night, at about 1am, and I had a 5am wake up. I thought about pounding on the wall and yelling, "If you don't f--k her harder, I WILL!"
Luckily he was done pretty quickly, but as I left my room about 05:30, I called their room. When she answered I said, "Hey, that was really great last night! I really enjoyed that! You going to be here next week?"

If you can't control your screaming kid on an airplane, you might be Tool Parents of the Day if you both don Bose headphones and pretend like nothing is happening.
I understand that it can be hard to control a 2-year-old on longer flights. I get it. That said, if your kid is making the middle third of a 737 completely miserable - you better join us in the pain!
