Childish??? Maybe.......Pure satisfaction in making up for the lose of sleep the night prior?? Absolutely!!
This is my method, as well. A couple of other pointers- tilt the clock so the speaker is pressed directly against the offender's wall, and pack it in a pillow on the other side to avoid "collateral damage" to other adjoining rooms.

Nope. She kinda gasped when I asked her that and then hung up. However, I did get to sleep with no further disturbances

While riding airplanes they do. Their ears are very sensitive to air pressure and it helps out.

I had some Aer Lingus Folks partying next door when I had an early get up. I found the hardest Rap station on the radio, set the radio alarm for 30 minutes after I left and hung the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

Been there done that. It helps to place the radio right up against the offender's wall. The two times I've done it I also placed a pillow over the radio to limit collateral damage to other neighbors. I set the alarm to go off just as I'm leaving the room so I can enjoy hearing firsthand that my petty yet quite satisfying juvenile response is in fact effective.

You should have asked, "Can you put the captain on the phone please? We've got an early van tomorrow. Oh, and Suzy, are you gonna be the 'A' again tomorrow?"

Well, rather then blowing her off with a "no **** sherlock, i just dress like this for fun" type answer, I very graciously answered the question and we struck up a 3 hour conversation. The trip was done in no time. The best part? She was a daaaaaaaang cute European girl who asked for my number at the end.

I win
Or maybe I'm TOTD for giving her my number in uniform? I donno...don't worry, I kept it professional...until I was out of my uniform
#1 Is this "girl" still alive
