If you're just following the bars, you're doing it wrong. They are suggestions, not directions!
That was actually the one major bone I had to pick with the most recent training program I went through. They said if the FD is on, you strictly follow it. Not good.. not good at all. Scan first, then look at the bars, they should verify what you want to do.

UGH, thanks for dredging up that memory.
Anytime the CA and FA are married or dating, you know you are in for a bad, bad trip.
You can bet your sweet bippy that all the crap work that would normally be the FA's job will somehow be delegated to you, despite the fact that it's no where near your job description. Nothing is worse than hearing the CA say "hey, why don't you...."
You will bear the brunt of everything crappy that happens as Captain America tries to impress his sweetie that "he's the boss".
Yuk.

I have no idea if this is actually true, but I heard a story a while back about a fNWA 757 capt that was married to a fNWA 757 FO (female FO, in case you were wondering). Gist of the story was that when they flew together they fought like cats & dogs. Scary. Love my wife, but I don't need to work with her.

We had a Captain on the -9 up in DTW that had a FA girlfriend. A trip with him was always kind of funny, because they went to great lengths to act like they weren't together (coming down the lobby separately, etc). Kind of hard to pull off when she comes to work with a special plate and a package of precooked bacon and a tub of muffins and somehow manages to provide the Captain (just the Captain, mind you) a hot breakfast every morning. One morning she showed up with a gigantic Sunday paper and laid it down on the jumpseat. I said something like, "Oh, that's nice of you." and she says, "Well, it's not for you, but you can look at it if you want I guess."
