I have no idea why people do this. It looks so uncomfortable!

The same reason they don't save for retirement or eat so much they get fat.

They live in the moment and have no capacity for the big picture.

...or crowd around the gate 20 minutes before the inbound aircraft even arrives and then stand there like a bunch of gawkers while impeding the speedy exit of the folks getting off the very plane that they would like to board. Same applies for the trains at airports.

...or line up STRAIGHT OUT from the gate/McDonalds/Starbucks/etc. right into the flow of traffic through the terminal. Sometimes even blocking the exit from the moving walkways! Really? THAT'S the best plan we can come up with?! (seems to be the worst in DTW).

...or stop and stare blankly at their boarding pass and/or cell phone DIRECTLY at the top/bottom of an escalator or beginning/end of a moving walkway.

The lack of self-awareness and fore-thought possessed by most of the travelling public is STAGGERING especially with regard to how their actions impact those around them in the crowded confines of aircraft and airports.

Anyone who has lived on a farm and observed the behavior of a herd of cows will not be surprised at all.

All it takes is 5 minutes driving in traffic to realize how many morons are out there.

Well gather 'round, ye sons of liberty! And maybe badflaps can explain how a group exercising their rights and protesting threats to civil liberties can be classified as morons, whether those threats are real or imagined and come from Dear Leader Pumpkinführer or any where else.

My submission for ToTD
During boarding on a flight to Newark a few weeks ago, we had a legacy pilot come up almost to the cockpit to check in. I say almost because this cat stood there in the doorway talking on his phone for a few minutes before he addresses us. He layed on his type A personality pretty thick as he informed us he would riding in the back and that he was an FFDO. At this point, and this is the best part, he pulls up his left pant leg and plants his foot on the center console almost on the printer. My upraised eyebrow was dismissed as he made a passing glance my way as he proceeded to extricate his leather FFDO wallet from his sock! After the quick perusal of his creds he made sure several times to let us know where he was sitting if we needed any help. This whirlwind of an Ernie Gann worthy character pulled out his phone again to resume his conversation, did an about face and then stood there as passengers were boarding talking on his phone for a few more minutes. Both the Captain and I said the same thing..."did that really just happen?"

That wasn't her speech. She read a poem a 19 year old girl wrote. I'm a woman and found that AND the whole march replete with ***** hats and costumes juvenile and vile.

This wasn't a woman's march...it was a march against President Trump.

MaxQ 01-28-2017 12:32 PM

Of course it was an anti President Trump march...as well as an anti Republican Party agenda march.

It was to remind that moves to diminish womens rights, diminish voting rights amongst minorities, defund planned parenthood, eliminate the ACA, target unions and the working poor (whom are largely women), allow more pollution (predominately in poorer communities)....etc etc etc. will not happen without pushback.
It was to remind the current Powers that Be that they will NOT go silently into the night.
Freedom of speech and assembly.....what a concept!

What "woman's rights" are being diminished? Murdering an unborn child is not a "woman's right" and planned parenthood is baby killing factory.

The can march all day long, the government will continue to do its job the job the majority of legal people that matter voted for.

Yes and I've been extremely happy so far. I'm amazed he's done so much in only 7 days.

and 55% of people agree with me. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ...ez_track_jan27

A woman absolutely has the right to decide what to do with her own body and any unborn child in it. Have you ever used a condom? If so you're a hypocrite. Personally, I'm glad there's birth control of all kinds. There's far too many of us and no end in sight to our population explosion. I guess Rasmussen reports haven't talked to me and my peers. Because 55% of my friends, colleagues, and family don't think highly of what he's been doing. They must be conducting their polls in the flyover states.

Sorry an abortion isn't about "her body" it's about a human life they choose to kill. It's a child not a choice and any woman that has an abortion is a murderer.

You tools will never convince anyone against their will.

Keep your politics off this website and definitely out of the cockpit.
