And I think the fact that the Boeing will do a nice, gentle descent in FLCH, even for 1000' altitude changes, was Mudhammed's point.

I seem to recall something about a "2 minute rule"?

No it is a big deal, because nobody is as good a pilot as they are. Because even though there are about a gazillion ways to descend 1000 feet, their way is the best and everyone else is dumb.

One would think there might be enough of a Filipino gang presence in his soon to be CA lockup to get him shanked deep into the APU tailpipe real fast.
