Miss flying Anyone?

A good loser is still a loser. With very few exceptions every pilot gets a slap in the face somewhere along his career. You have to stay focused on your goals and desires. Pick your self up, dust your self off and keep moving forward...................

Agree
At some point however a loosing strategy is to stay the course. It is foolish to beat a dead horse.

Truth
Duck,
My aim is to inform others who don't get it that things are not as portrayed on the brochures in regards to aviation. You would think it would be obvious but plenty of people are signing loan documents daily to pursue a dream that isn't real.
To me whenever a person accepts training that will place them 100 to 150K in debt it tells me that they obviously expected to get on with SWA two years after graduation. There is plenty of misinformation out there and Skyhigh is very much needed.
As for you I would like to impart that aviation is a loving mother and an evil seductress. It seduces people away from a healthy path in life and can leave you broke and alone. Keep an eye on the big picture because you could end up loosing far more than you ever expected.
Some of the funnest and most satisfying jobs I left right away since I could tell that they were a dead end. Those who I left behind are sorry individuals today I can assure you.
In my experience the only path that has the best chances for a normal, full and fruitful life is sadly the airlines.

very true skyhigh. Im sure it just becomes a job over time. I dont like that whole "I dont care what my life is like as long as I fly" attitude. Sure the companies will love them. They will love to hire kids like that and give them a right seat in exchange for food stamps and shi!tty pay.
Skyhigh im new here, seems like ur not the most popular cat on the block. You speak from experience, and you are definetely needed here. It's true there is a lot of misinformation about aviation. Theres a lot more to the aviation business then simply flying the airplane, anyone stepping into this world need to know that.
