Airports may charge disruptive pax.
This was bound to happen sooner or later .

I was recently on a US Airways flight to CLT and before departure, the FA asked this guy to turn off his phone. He told her "it doesn't do anything anyway". As in interfere with any aircraft systems. She asked him did he want to go back to the gate and that she was going to tell the CA if he didn't comply with her instructions. He then quickly stowed his iPhone. What a baby. Times like that, I wish I had an eject button to push on pax like that.
Fine 'em. Make them think twice before causing a nuisance on an airplane or at an airport.

Sigh....unfortunately, this is an every flight occurance on American carriers. These clowns think the rules are for everyone else. Their sense of entitlement is nauseating. Gotta thank mommy and daddy for convincing them they're "special"

I often see people in "tussles" with FA or GA's, and while 90%+ it is clearly the passenger being the aggressor, I feel that say, 10% or so of the times the FA could have either de-escalated the situation quickly or even was the aggressor. I've seen some GA's almost pick fights before, it is weird. I understand they get frustrated, but come on...

I agree with the spirit of the rule, but keep in mind there are often two sides of every story.

On the 1900 my first pass to the back after closing the door I will ask to turn the phone off, if on my way back up and I dont see the phones off, I will tell them to turn the phone off and I'll stand there and watch them until they do so. I get their full cooperation by that point.
