Oh yes, ToiletDuck, going to service makes you a good person. Who cares what you say or do outside of the building....it's all good when you walk back in that door, right?

LOL

To all the compassionate, morally upright folks who have stood up for the deceased on this thread, thank you. I've learned quickly who deserves my respect on this board and who doesn't. (Not that any of you care if I respect you or not! )

First of all, accidents happen. Accidents happen to good pilots and to bad pilots. You certainly cannot judge this man's piloting skill without great loads of information that you don't have.

Secondly, as a fellow aviatrix, I am utterly appalled that you would say that even a girl wouldn't do that. I'm no feminist and I find that shockingly sad. Really, have some respect for yourself. Or...rather, if you are that bad, save your passengers now and get a new profession.

Why did this turn into a religious discussion? Why would anyone condemn someone's decision to cross a picket line in a major league sport? BIG FRICKING DEAL! Oh yeah, I forgot, they damaged the reputation of major league baseball players everywhere and of course undermined their $alary$.

I have to say this...you weren't there, you don't know the circumstances of the crash, you weren't in his head or wallet when he crossed a picket line, none of you have the answers to any of these questions so stop acting like the experts. I am not religious, but I would never speak so poorly of a dead person, it just shows how "Christian" you really are and tells volumes of why I am not. Have some decency. HotMamaPilot - You are doing great things for female pilots everywhere by saying that even a girl wouldn't crash into a building, have some respect for yourself and other people. No one cares how good of a Catholic girl you are when you spew that self-deprecating and generally rude verbal vomit.

None of you have any idea what the motive behind the crash is, if anything besides a jammed control surface or a hundred other things including pilot error/stupidity. I also have to inform you all that this whole SCAB thing is only in the airlines. No one else knows what the hell you are talking about and we (in the corporate world) don't really care. As an Aviation Department Director I would hire a SCAB if he or she was qualified and I would never know it. A desire to get ahead and feed ones family is an essential component to a self-motivated and strong person who is willing to do what it takes to get a job done. The last thing I want is a clone in the cockpit.

Have a nice day.

What's a distress cloud?

Two words come to mind.

DARWIN AWARD

That being said, why doesn't everyone here shut the frick up until the report comes out? We know NOTHING. It could have been FOD that jammed the flight controls. It could have been a bird strike that damaged the empennage. It could have been engine failure from improper leaning techniques. It's getting cold up here...could have been carb ice. Since he was a sub 90 hr pilot, maybe the CFI had a heart attack or stroke and couldn't take the controls...

LOL. Women are ruining aviation!!!! I am one, so I can say it. My comment was meant to be funny... Truely, about 1% of the females flying actually deserve their jobs. I have plently of repect, thank you. I just know how to speak the TRUTH.

Default Sad Day

I first saw the news about the crash and couldn't believe it, then I saw all the people posting on this thread and slamming the pilot. I think some people don't realize that TWO PILOTS (PEOPLE) JUST DIED!!!
My day further worsened when I found out that the second passenger on board Lidle's plane was actaully a very good friend and a good pilot. Both pilots were from So. California and the instructor, my friend, was the one who got Lidle his license.
I agree with the posters above. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENDED! Let's wait for the NTSB report.
