for the kids visiting the flight deck
I loved visiting the fd in my early years and have some fond memories and pictures taken with pilots from 70s and 80s
I would like to give the kids something memorable about their visit but I think copy of the release would be an overkill.
Signing their boarding pass is a nice idea but that doesn't work all the time.
What do you recommend to give them as a souvenir ?

years ago, Air Canada had postcards with pictures of the different flight decks that the crews would hand out. I haven't seen those in circulation for a long time though.
As a kid they were a great little token to remember the cockpit. I actually still have most of them, from most of the aircraft in the fleet at the time (late 90's). I'll get some pics of them later.

Delta and united still have the wings. I get ugly stares when i enter a mainline pilot lounge, but I do it and ask the folks at the desk for some wings to give the kids. The kids love them and they don't k ow that they are on a regional, they think they are on Delta or United.... Parents seem to appreciate you taking 30 seconds of your time to say hi to Timmy and ask him whether or not he like Gladiator Movies.

Our airline dropped them because they said they cost too much. Now I'm surprised they don't sell them, along with the pillows and blankets, and the coin operated oxygen masks.
