for the kids visiting the flight deck

I remember getting those cards as a kid whenever my family flew on Northwest. I think I still have them somewhere. I managed to get the DC-9, MD80, and 757. Funny that they're probably still flying those same airplanes, too!

A few months ago, on a half empty American flight, one of the FA's gave my 2 yr old a sticker set of wings. He, my son not the FA, was delighted. He was even happier when they let me hold the demo oxygen mask. After the flight, the Captain was nice enough to ask my son about "his" wings. Of course, this was before CH. 11.

Before I left my last airline I had a set of my old metal FO wings. They were no good to me since I upgraded and even less useful since I was leaving the company. The last little boy who came up to visit got them as a souvenir. He was thrilled to have them yet young enough to not care they were "regional" wings!
