Really? Maybe I'll read about you one day...
This topic and those who support it are nothing but bad for us and our industry. I'm sure your passengers would love to know that your playing games in the cockpit. If you insist on entertaining yourself in that way on the job I highly suggest that you take a job flying boxes in a caravan or something. At least if you forget where you're flying or aren't prepared for what can happen you'll only end up putting yourself in danger. I hope a United 232 or similar doesn't happen when you're so preoccupied fighting some freakin' zombie like a 6 year old...

Take a leave of absence, mature a bit, review previous incidents that took place because of unprofessional crewmembers who overflew their destination and an Airbus, take stock as what disciplines are required to be an airman, then rethink your post.

Personally, I wouldn't do that because I see it as a slippery slope that can easily go from relieving boredom to causing me to lose situational awareness. That doesn't mean you have to sit there and focus all your energy on watching instruments because that is fatiguing too. I prefer less distracting ways to break up the boredom.
Just imagine how dumb we would all look if the media ran with this story. It would be very hard to try to fix this profession if the public assumes we all get paid to play with our iPads while we fly.

People on here are always whining we need to let the public know what we really make, not the 100k with 17 days off that the media/Cohen say. Then these same dopes make a thread like this. You deserve professional pay because you play games in a cockpit? get real.
