It used to be full of good information and helpful people. For the past two years, however it has been turning into an old boys club. A handful of "regulars" all know each other personally, and each thread dissolves into inside jokes while they all try to top one another with witty comments.

That is why I stopped going to JC after nearly 7 years of being a regular over there.

It's like a bizarre, liberal, nerdfest over there most of the time. I don't understand the appeal.

After carefully reviewing the pictures from a recent JC event, honestly many of those slouchers need to be special guests on The Biggest Loser. Clearly an indication of that handful of "regulars" dedicating way too much time to the website.

Yes, JC has a bit more of the regional and freight dog crowd, this place has a bit more major guys, PPW has a lot of corporate, and who the heck knows what's over at FI. All have their uses.
However, as one of the attendees to said recent JC event I'd like to ask though: when is the last time the webmaster from here threw a party in Vegas?

I've had may fair share of issues with JC and some of the moderation over there, but to be honest, I'd help anyone on there, any day of the week. The weird cliques that everyone knows each other, is called networking, which has led to numerous jobs for myself. As for the fat joke, that's pretty low brow and pretty disgusting to insult people you've never met, but for some reason, look at pictures of in your free time. What's even more surprising though is that APC moderation allows something like that to remain, oh wait, no it isn't...

JC is not without its faults, but so is everywhere else on the internet. That said, Doug and Kristie have done an awesome job. That website has led to a number of opportunities for me.

What is PPW?

I'm a member of both JC and APC. I stick to certain threads on JC because I'm not in a position, at the moment, to offer advice as far as taking a job, or something like that for obvious reasons. I do, however, contribute to their "Flight Surgeon" thread, as I do in the "Pilot Health" thread here because that's where I believe I'm most able to help others at this point.
When things change, I hope to be given access to other threads on this board.

Definition of "dedicating way too much time to the website" : to complain about what goes on on another forum instead of just staying away.
