Like I said - NEW.
This has already been posted, but I like the build-up here.

Btw - watch the movie and you'll see that he does **everything** wrong in that movie sequence

New to me. Actually looks like they might have been training. Right at the end of the video, you see another guy making his way around the patch.

And two things: 1. This got the attention of just who I intended it for and I hoped he might chime in with, "Yeah, we do something like that... et cetera, et cetera;" and 2. If it's already been posted, link (so I can ask about how our fighters handle a go-around at sea)?

There's always a method to my madness.

OK Comrade, hang on. I saw this in a cartoon but I'm pretty sure I can do it.

Training in what way? For carrier operations or training in go-arounds?

Certainly not on purpose! Grumble hasn't made his way on yet, but he'll be along right quickly.

Maybe Grumble will take the time to look. He wrote a nice LSO grade for that pass IIRC.

Didn't see the other posts, so sorry mods if this is old discussion but...this thing is the canard'ed/thrust vectored version of the Su-27, right? I don't think they were training as much as showing off the maneuverability of this awesome aircraft at low speeds!

Both maybe? Did y'all (Navy/Marines) go out and practice go-arounds during carrier operations?
