Default FFDO and CHL

Before anyone says it, this has nothing to do with SSI or anything, so let's not go there and further the ridiculous security concerns.

If you're an FFDO/FBI/ATF/whatever government agent, not on duty, live in and are qualified in a state with a CHL program, can you carry your government-issued weapon as a concealed handgun of course adhering to the restrictions placed on CHL holders?

I'm curious as to whether our government would permit it or whether they'd rather avoid the liability that would come with it.
