It tasted really good and I've also decided to grow a beard. So far this month scratch lottery tickets have provided more than my paycheck. Good thing I went to college and have a business degree to fall back on. It seems like most guys that stay with this for awhile do so because they have railroaded themselves into it and have never developed any useful business skills. Also, the world will not end in 2012 as the Mayans predicted. It will end when Tony Romo says so.
Seems to me that the title of this thread should be "I had a beer today...and then tried really hard not to let the tears from my broken dreams fall into it". Boohoo guy. Sounds like you are not 100% sure you did the right thing. Sorry you went to a crap company (assumption) but you made your bed, lie in it.

In the interest of avoiding thread drift, I'm drinking a Sam Adams Octoberfest and watching football

Good point. I'm drinking a bunch of St. Arnold Octoberfests. My Dallas Cowboys let me down far more than Colgan Air does

For, i.e., a flight school/bridge program grad to regional FO, 20K is a bit high.

Yep, and they have AC on the planes I can't wait to get a regional job. Instructing in this heater box will not be missed.

Default Best beer WAS

Coors when it had to be "imported" from Mexico to South Carolina and cost the unheard of price of $5.45/six pack in 1981. That was the smoothest, sweetest nectar at the time. I'm sure being slight south of the legal drinkin' age added to it's awesomeness.

You'd think being under age any beer would be best , but this stands out in my pickling memory.

By the same token, underage, we actually threw out Busch, and some mule pi$$ that the base PX had for $12/case.

Stay thirsty my friends.................

Just because an airplane has air conditioning, doesn't mean it stays cool. A Saab flying a bunch of short legs, never over 5000 feet, in summer is rough.

At least in a 150, you can take with the doors off.

But with a steady pay check and cool uniforms its a 1up in my book.

Flying a twin commander without AC on short hops dressed in a pilot costume isn't exactly fun either, but I think hell is only slightly hotter than taxiing in a diamond on a hot summer day.
