I don't have illusions about BA, I just grabbed the opportunity to take a cheapshot at our domestic industry. made me feel better anyway.

Suggestion for an honest airline commercial:
"Look, we know that air travel is a big hassle and just gets you somewhere that you probably don't want to go in the first place. At Acme Air, we'll try not to make the experience any worse than it has to be. We're not thrilled about the whole situation ourselves."

Their heritage of what? Corruption, mis-management, bankruptcy, abrogated ethical responsibilities, short-sighted greed, and stupidity?
Leaders who can only see as far ahead as next quarter's earnings call probably don't have in any interest in or awareness of the past either.

Whoops.........
The campaign cost a cool £20million and was supposed to usher in a new, mistake-free era at British Airways. But airline bosses were left red-faced after finding a rival Virgin Atlantic plane in the company's new TV advert, 'Aviators'. Luckily an eagle-eyed engineer spotted the blunder during a screening of the film to thousands of staff just a day before its official launch.
The offending shot showed a row of three BA Boeing 747s sitting on the tarmac. The closest displays the serial code G-VGAL, the marking for a Virgin Atlantic plane based in Manchester. Sources told the Sunday Mirror the film's CGI experts had put BA's livery on the Virgin plane, but had forgotten to remove it.

Correct Answer
Yes, it was Tim. Many did not know that on a vacation in Europe several years ago, he met the Chief Pilot of BA who was so impressed with his credentials that he offered Tim a part time position as a Captain on the Concorde.
Tim only flew a few revenue trips for BA but at least he was typed in the aircraft and could add that to his impressive resume.
