I think the world economy is going to get far worse for quite a while before it truly gets better in any sustainable way. But we can't afford to abandon market share so the so called LCC's can take delivery of their hundreds upon hundreds of narrowbody growth aircraft and the subsidized foreign airlines take widebodies for pax and freight to grow into every seat we dump and then some. Its time to compete and win and screw the crackberry day traders. If we continue to rapidly pay down debt we will get the credit we need for the long gradual fleet renewal process in any case.

Bankers? They too can suck it. Along with Wall Street, they need to worry about not making the same mistakes 3000 times.

I guess the last Delta profit thread I started vanished, so in the spirit of optimism and positive-ness, I WILL START IT AGAIN!!!

DELTAposted a nice profit this quarter, in light of the flimsy economy and high fuel prices and natural catastrophes and increased competition etc etc...
