reminds me of something I heard as a new hire.

For the S/O a successful layover is getting laid twice and having a steak dinner.

For the F/O a successful layover is getting laid once and having a good night sleep.

For the Captain a successful layover is having a bowel movement.

I thought it was the Captain's, but have to admit, I did not ask. If you're talking to poo, you might want to run that by your AME at your next Flight Physical. Particularly if your seniority number has less than 5 digits in it. A wise man once told me, "the World needs ditch diggers too."

Delta management's plan:

1. Cut capacity.
2. ?
3. Profit.

Where have I seen that template?

Where have I seen that template?
Eastern? Pan Am? People's Express? Continental, prior to Gordon Bethune? Mid West? Midway? US Air? Hindenburg Zepplin Company? White Star Line?

Seen the template plenty of times. Never seen it work.

It is apparent that Wall St, did not like the results or the further cuts. We are getting to the point where CASM will go way up with further cuts. I think they may know that too.

It sounds like the bankers have told DAL, cut seats, cut debt and until you do, no money for you. Many things make the cuts seem a little steep, then again they will look like geniuses if the world economy falls off a cliff.
