Bad Landing Response
#31
Our mechanics opted for hard tires instead of soft ones for better performance on the ground. (for you race fans)
Our wages only pay for takeoffs OR landings....and in this flight it paid for the takeoff.

I slammed one on in BWI after a looooong day. When a pax said something I just said "Sorry, this was my 15th hour on duty and I'm tired. I'm sure you know what's it's like after working 15 hours in the office."
His response: "Jesus, 15 hours?!?! I thought you guys only worked 5?"

You should have prefaced with "one, we're alive, and 2, we get to reuse the airplane."
Or, "you get the free peanuts or the soft landing, but you can't get both."
BTW, the title of the thread should be "hard/rough landing response"
Passengers don't have a freaking clue if you were on speed, on profile, on centerline, and in the TDZ

Anyone notice the direct correlation between landing quality and gate availability? The better the landing the longer the wait for the gate such that nobody remembers it but is all mad about being late even though youre 5 early and the worse the landing the more likely the gate is open and the rampers waiting on you?
