I think our landing weight calculation was little off. The average passenger weight on this flight is obviously more than the figure we use.

(I can just imagine some chump getting slapped in the face for saying this)

The best and most convincing I've heard is, "Sorry, the autopilot never does a good job with the landing. I was probably better off doing it by hand."

What are some good comeback responses to these smartass comments? Something that I could say that won't get me fired.
Either "Kiss my @$$" or "Bl@w me you pompous sack of dog turds" work well. I'm not so sure about the not getting fired part, but don't look at it as losing a job - think of it as becoming a legend.
