Default Rock You Like A Hurricane

A mid-air insect incident has many air travelers carefully inspecting their seat cushions after an Alaskan Airlines passenger was stung by a scorpion mid-flight. 'Early Show' anchor Jeff Glor chronicles the rare scorpion sighting at 30,000 feet. Apparently, Jeff Ellis was on an Alaskan Airlines flight from Seattle to Anchorage when he woke up from a nap to find the eight-legged stowaway crawling on his arm. "The scorpion, they think, may have boarded the plane in Texas, there it is," Glor reports as a photo shows the rather huge scorpion.

"I raised my hand up and, uh, 'Oh my God that's a scorpion!" Jeff Ellis recounts, "It must have aggravated the little critter and he stung me and then came crawling out." Ellis has a small bump on his arm, but no lasting injuries. "I thought the extra baggage fees really stung," jokes Glor as the 'Early Show' crew groans.

Count the legs, they're not insects, they're arachnids. Oh wait a minute, a journalist wrote this story.
