Looks like the HUD was showing 10 ft. just before pull-up.

There are old pilots and there are bold pilots but there are no old, bold pilots...as the saying goes.

I'm guessing that the good citizens of Argentina won't have to worry about this guy ever collecting a retirement check.

Im not so sure this video is real. People can get mighty creative with video editing software.

Looks pretty real to me (especially the cockpit view; the close-up shown earlier looks distorted, but I think that is due to video aperature and aircraft speed), and I've been in a position to review stunts such as this before.

Tom Goodman:

I think it said "10" because RADALTs usually are calibrated in 10-ft increments. IE, the only number lower than 10 is 0.

If I read his HUD correctly, he over-g'd the thing in the pull-up.

If the close-up is to be believed, there were TWO guys in there....madness.

I think he's referring to the one I posted of the L29. Which I wouldn't doubt if you watch the way the shadow moves across the ground, the lack of dust/grass being kicked up, etc. However, maybe it's all in the resolution of the video.

I've always though this one was an edit job.

I know a guy that bounced an F-4 off of a hilltop at Nellis, survived, flew back and landed. Altitude 0 AGL. All others ARE a tie.
